www.chomsky.info - Noam Chomsky, American Nobel prize winner and genius, here you'll find his latest and archived articles, debates, interviews, letters and talks. If you want to know about globalisation, US foreign policy or the role of the media, this man knows what he is talking about. Essential reading.

www.zmag.org - US based independent site, it's brilliant, with pretty much everything you need to know, a huge website updated daily, articles, blogs, watch areas and sub-sites, translations, archives, events, links to other progressive sites and more. One of the best.

www.killinghope.org - William Blum, freelance journalist and respected authority on US foreign policy. Massive archive of articles and essays.

www.paulkingsnorth.net - Paul Kingsnorth's own site, author of the superb 'One No, Many Yeses', many articles covering various aspects of globalisation and the world justice movement.

http://english.aljazeera.net - Multi-national Arab Media, world news from the massively popular Aljazeera. Attacked by US and British propagandists, tanks and planes for daring to report independently. A great news source regarding Iraq, Palestine and Muslim perspectives on issues such as the 'War on Terror'.

http://electroniciraq.net - From 'Voices in the Wilderness', Ignore the propaganda, here is what's really going on in Iraq. News from the ground, diaries, analysis and factsheets.

http://electronicintifada.net - Electronic Intifada publishes news and analysis about the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict from a Palestinian perspective. Looking at the economic, political, legal, and human dimensions of Israel's 37-year occupation. This is much needed considering the mainstream media's heavily biased portrayal of the conflict.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/ - Supposedly non corporate news, (although we all know that is not the case). However, their news website has some really good journalism and articles, sometimes you could almost think they're independent.

www.informationclearinghouse - Independent US based media source, good news coverage regarding issues such as Iraq, Bush and US Foreign Policy.

www.guerrillanews.com - Guerrilla News Network, Non corporate US based media source, covering issues such as the 'War on Terrorism', Corporate Crimes and Globalisation. If you have broadband check out the Video News.

www.redpepper.org.uk - Highly acclaimed UK based independent monthly magazine, exposing government and corporations and dealing with issues such as globalisation and the environment.

www.labouruniondigest.org.uk - Uk based site dealing with Union, Labour and Political news, features and opinion. Get a balance to corporate media's demonisation of Unions, covers issues such as Corporate Accountability, the Public Sector and Whisteblowing.

www.davidicke.com - A bit 'far out' but leaving the lizard stuff aside, his actual investigative journalism is first rate.
